Howell Belanger Castelli Architects P.C. is an established Architectural design firm in NYC focusing on the design and development of commercial buildings, retail stores and restaurants. Project types consist of new construction, repurposing existing buildings/spaces and interior fit outs. Clients range from national retailers, restaurateurs, private property owners and property developers.
Our firm is seeking an Architectural graduate with a minimum of 5 years of professional experience in space planning, construction document development, construction detailing, consultant coordination and construction administration.
Skills required:
Ability to motivate self and team members, work effectively in groups, execute Architectural resourcefulness, display strong communication skills, multitask and understand project timelines and their importance. A strong AutoCAD drafting skill set with competent use of external reference files and ability to utilize layer states effectively is mandatory.
Responsibilities include:
Responsibility to develop design concepts, space plans and construction documents. Ensure that Architectural construction documents are in complete conformance with the design intent, fully detailed, coordinated and drawn accurately for Permit/Bid/Construction. Coordinate with MEP, Structural and Civil consultant’s work during development of the project and keep all consultants updated with project requirements as they evolve. Address plan check comments from Landlords, Clients, Building Departments, answer RFI’s, issue Addendums / Bulletins and create field reports of Architectural construction site visits.
